Nail Polish Marbling: Pumpkins!
There is this amazing technique out there for water marbling with nail polish! I have loved the look since I first saw it, but I’m not real big on doing my nails. I’ve been looking for a good reason to try it out for awhile now, so I decided to take my cute mini pumpkins and give it a go!
I used cheap nail polish from the dollar store, miniature pumpkins I found at the grocery store, a bucket of water, and a stick to mix the polish around a little.
After shaking up the polish, I dripped some into the water. I’m not sure if it’s because the water temperature was cold, or the polish was cheap, but it doesn’t spread very well.
Orange and black, and a little stir from the stick and it worked out ok!
Then in goes the pumpkin! Just dip it through your polish into the water and back up again!
I set them upside down to dry for a few minutes.
The white pumpkins look better, but the orange ones still look really neat!
So quick and easy! A nice little added touch to a classic fall decoration!
This was a nice fun little project that cost very little! The fresh pumpkins don’t last forever, but it was a fun update for while they do last. I am sure that you could use the very same technique on plastic pumpkins and then they would last forever.
