Make an adorable Miniature fall scene
With our move mostly out of the way now, I’m hoping I can get back to my regularly scheduled craft time! I was super excited when my friends over at miniatures.com reached out and asked if I wanted to make a fall scene with some of their adorable miniatures. Even though I was super busy, that was a no-brainer! I love cute tiny things! I love fall! Why not combine the two things?! Have you ever made a little fairy garden? Fairy gardens are just another way of playing with miniatures. Make your fairies a cute little fall scene this Autumn!
*Some of the supplies used for this project were sent to me by my friends at Miniatures.com. All the words, opinions and ideas are my own.*
Here are some of the supplies you may need to make your own tiny adorable miniature fall scene:
- A Base for your Scene (I used a lovely basswood round from Walnut Hollow)
- Autumn Foliage Mat
- Tree Armatures
- Fall corn shock fence
- Free leaves yard sign
- American Crow
- Glue
First I wanted to create an Autumn tree for my scene. I wanted my tree to be taller than the little tree armatures, so I attached the two together.
To turn your bare trees into fall beauties, simply bend the branches so they lay flat. Tear off pieces of our lovely Fall Foliage Mat, and apply them to the tree branches with glue. Keep adding more foliage until your tree is as full or as bare as you’d like it to be. Allow the glue to dry fully. Shake off any loose pieces.
While my Autumn tree was drying, I glued the Corn Shock fence to my wood slice.
Then I added more fall foliage around the base of the fence.
I drilled a small hole where I wanted to put my tree using a small hand drill. I added a little bit of glue to the hole and placed my tree next to my fence.
Next, I put a cute tiny little crow up on the fence. The adorable Corn Shock Fence looked exactly like the kind of place you might find a crow!
My favorite detail in the whole project is the adorable little sign! I just love this “Rake and Take” yard sign!
I tore up the rest of my fall foliage mat and made a pile of “leaves” that I glued down beside the sign.
Isn’t this the cutest little fall scene ever?! It makes me eager for the fall and the beautiful leaves, and clean crisp air.
