Four Seasons Trees with the Poppy Stamps and Buttons Galore Blog Hop
I’m so excited to be able to participate in this fun blog hop sponsored by Poppystamps and Buttons Galore today! I’ve been having so much fun sharing some button projects over on the Buttons Galore blog for the last few months. I have never had the pleasure of working with Poppystamps until now. They make such adorable stuff! This super simple Four Seasons Tree Art is easy to make and so cute! I love decor that I can leave up with every season.
Be sure to read to the end of the post so you can click through to the other amazing projects in the Blog Hop!
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own Four Seasons Tree Art:
- Buttons Galore “Tiny Buttons” packs
- Poppy Stamps Birch Tree Craft Die
- Poppy Stamps Magnificent Mini Fairies Craft Die
- Die cutting machine (I used my Cricut Cuttlebug)
- 5×7 picture frames (4)
- E6000 Glue (or a clear glue of your preference)
Use your Die Cut machine to cut out 4 Birch tree shapes with the Birch Tree Craft Die. I used white cardstock for my trees. Use colored cardstock to cut out the Mini Fairies. I used several shades of green, pink, orange, yellow and blue for my fairies and their wings. They are so tiny and delicate and beautiful!
Remove the backing of the frame and use a small amount of the E6000 glue to secure the glass to the picture frame.
Use the clear glue to glue the birch tree shape onto the front of the picture frame glass. Repeat this with all four picture frames. One birch tree per frame.
Glue the Tiny Buttons onto and around the branches of the birch tree with the clear glue. I used several packages of the tiny buttons. They are so itty bitty and adorable! I especially love the tiny little micro buttons!
Here are the specific Tiny Button packages I used:
- Blue Tiny Buttons
- White Tiny Buttons
- Gemstone Tiny Buttons
- Garden Tiny Buttons
- Harvest Micro Buttons
- Rainforest Micro Buttons
I used light green and pink buttons for Spring.
Varying shades of green buttons for Summer.
Yellow, orange and red buttons for Autumn.
And white and blue buttons for Winter.
Glue the fairies to their coordinating season. For example, my Summer Fairy is two shades of green, and my fall fairy is orange and yellow.
Use the E6000 Glue to glue all four frames together. I used small clamps to hold them in place while the glue dried.
Insert paper backing behind the frames in coordinating colors.
Which season is your favorite? Do you decorate for all of the seasons, or just for specific holidays?
