DIY Resin Mosaics and Moving the Craft Shack
This month has been super busy! We are under contract to sell our house (again). It’s been a long process! Sadly we don’t live in an area where the home market is hopping, so we’ve waited almost a year for this. Fingers and toes are crossed that this contract does not fall through, but so far it’s looking like it will be the one! That means that the craft shack will be moving! This blog all started in a little shed in the backyard. My Craft Shack is one of the biggest reasons I became a blogger and I’ve loved it. But the time has come to move forward. I am going to keep blogging when I am able, and I hope that when the dust settles things can resume some normalcy here. Selling a house is a lot of work, and I’ve found that blogging is the thing that has suffered while I’ve been busy elsewhere. I am a little bit sad to leave the shed behind,
but I have a brand new craft room waiting for me, ready to be turned into my own space. I hope to share the process here with you! I am working on making myself a little miniature version of the craft shack to take with me as a constant reminder where this all started. Building miniatures take a lot of time, and I have not had as much time as I would like to put into it but it’s coming along!
Isn’t it so cute?! I hope I will be able to share the whole project with you soon!
While my blogging here at the Craft Shack has suffered, I’ve been blessed with opportunities outside of my little craft shack to share fun projects still! One of my favorite places to share those is over on the Resin Crafts blog. This month I shared one of those projects that might totally change the way you view something! I’ve always loved beautiful glass mosaics but creating your own is a complicated and difficult craft. It isn’t something an amateur like me can do right now. Sure, I could take the time to learn how, and practice and eventually I’d totally do it! But right now I just don’t have the time! I have huge respect for talented glass artists. I found a fun, and simple way in the meantime, to create fun glass mosaics without as much work!
I’m sharing this fun process of making Faux mosaic suncatchers over on the resin crafts blog. Pop on over to check it out!
You can keep an eye on our moving progress through my occasional Instagram stories as well! I shared my new empty craft room just the other day! I’m so excited to once again have a blank canvas to turn into my own creative sanctuary!
