Craft Stick bookmarks with Wood burned designs
I don’t know how it is for you, but around here we never seem to have any book marks (unless you count random scraps of paper or receipts). I’m not sure where all our cute ones go. Maybe they’re hanging out with the lost socks and missing scissors. In a house full of book lovers, we should have bookmarks to go with our large abundance of books I think. These wood burned Craft stick bookmarks are simple to make, and look great. You only need three things to make them. They fit nicely in the books, and when they go to the land of lost things to join the socks and scissors it’s fun, and easy to make more!

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own wood burned craft stick bookmarks:
- Wood craft sticks
- Wood burner
- Pencil
Step one:
Use the pencil to draw a design on the craft stick. Words, flowers, random lines or patterns. Whatever inspires you!
Step two:
Use your wood burner to trace the pencil lines on your craft sticks. Fill in all of the designs.
So simple! That’s it! You can leave your new craft stick bookmarks just like that or you can stain or paint them. I left mine just like they were. There is no need to seal them or add anything to them. The wood burned design is permanent just by itself!
Now you won’t ever have to loose your place, and don’t they look so much prettier than an old receipt from your last trip to the store?
You can wood burn a lot of things and it’s so much fun. Check out some of my favorite wood burning projects, you’ll be addicted to wood burning before you know it!
