The Craft Shack Chronicles
There are some noticeable changes happening lately here at the Craft Shack! Probably the most obvious being the web address and site name change. I’m so excited to start the next new Chapter of the Craft Shack Chronicles with you!
A little more than two years ago when I started Ks Craft Shack, I did not intend for it to be what it is today. It started off small, and mostly personal. It helped me through a dark time by providing a fun distraction. Something to occupy my mind. We refer to my craft shed in the back yard as my “Craft Shack” so Ks Craft Shack (Kelli’s Craft Shack) seemed to be an ok choice. One of my earliest posts on the blog was documenting the building of the Craft Shack itself!
But as the blog has grown, it’s become painfully obvious that the name choice was just not working. People did not understand the “Ks” in the name, and it was confusing and not very professional. I’ve been thinking about this for some time now. With the start of the new year, it seemed the perfect time to make some changes. Most of the links, if not all of them should be working now on the new site. And for awhile if you go to the old site it should just redirect you here. If you find a link that isn’t working, I would appreciate hearing about it.
I’m excited to start some new adventures this year! I will be starting off the year working with a new company. I was excited to learn that I will be posting monthly for the Unicorn SPiT group over on their blog during the first half of the year, and also sharing some of those fun projects here in the Craft Shack. Unicorn SPiT is a super fun, water based, vibrant, gel stain/glaze. I’ve made several projects with the Unicorn SPiT before. You might have seen my Hanging Plant Stand, and my Pistachio Shell wreath (one of my most popular blog posts last year). Both projects were completed with SPiT coloring! It will be a fun new adventure working with the lovely ladies over on the Unicorn SPiT site!
I’m happy to be continuing relationships with some old friends as well! I’m particularly excited about an upcoming DecoArt project I’ve been selected to participate in! I have had so many unique and amazing opportunities since starting with the Craft Shack. I am starting off this new year feeling so blessed by this wonderful journey and so excited to keep trying new adventures!
One of my goals for the new year is to get better at Social Media. I really struggle with it! I want to share things with like minded friends, and those channels are such an amazing way to do it! I need some practice! I would love for you to join me on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest or even Twitter (I’m not very good at Twitter at all though)!
I also want to work on not getting so discouraged when something isn’t working how I thought it should. One of my favorite quotes says “Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.” (Mary Anne Radmacher)
This is my new motto this year! Have courage! Try again! I made a printable to share (free for your personal use, of course). Sometimes the only courage you need is the courage to keep trying.

Thank you for being here! I appreciate you! I’m so excited to share more fun Craft Shack adventures with you this year, and hopefully for many years to come!
