BFF State Sign and Product review
I’m excited to be over on the Walnut Hollow blog again today showing you how to make this State Sign gift. I had a lot of fun making it for my best friend (who is my favorite follower here too. Sorry for the gift spoiler H.!)
The step by step instructions are over on the Walnut Hollow blog today, please visit and say hi! Here on my blog today I wanted to review the really cool tool I used to make this state sign (And also my Zentangle wood serving tray)
*Even though this was a sponsored post and I was compensated for my work, my opinions are always my own. My review in this post of the Creative Versa-Tool® is 100% real! I promise I will always be honest in my reviews.*
I’m totally addicted to wood burning now, it’s so much fun and so easy! The finished results are always incredible too. I’ve used several wood burners (I own a few myself) and the biggest problem for me is that they tend to get uncomfortable to handle. I don’t notice a lot of difference anywhere else, only in the amount of heat they put out in the grip. After using some of them for a few minutes they become too hot. I have one that I don’t use at all for this very reason! My favorite part about the Walnut Hollow wood burner, the Versa-Tool® is that it has a nice rubber grip around the handle and while it still gets warm too, it’s never been too uncomfortable to hold while I work. I’ve really put it to the test too! My zentangle wood serving tray took two hours to burn. I did it all in one sitting, and the handle was never too hot to hold through the whole project! This state sign project was a little bit quicker, so it was even better!
I also love the temperature control. Not all wood burners offer this feature. It gets perfectly hot, and it stays that way for as long as I need it to.
If you haven’t tried wood burning yet, you totally should! It’s such a fun way to add some detail and character to any wood piece! Go check out how to make this sweet best friend wood state sign, and grab yourself a fun new toy too!
