Autumn Garlands – Sunday Spotlight
Our kids started school this week! Summer went by too quickly this year. It’s hard to believe it’s already over! We still have a little bit of summer weather left, but it’s difficult not to start thinking about the season change that is coming. I love pretty Autumn leaves! This week I thought I’d roundup some fun Autumn garlands! It’s still a little too early to be decorating for me personally, but that doesn’t stop me from preparing! My fireplace mantel is one of my very favorite places to decorate. My dad made the mantel custom for me, and I love it! It’s so fun to change it with the seasons. The beautiful dark rich wood looks amazing with the bright fall colors.
I made this simple leaf garland with items I found recently at the dollar store. It only took 10 minutes to make, and for $3 it didn’t come out too bad!
What you’ll need:
- faux autumn leaves. (I found these pretty glittery ones at the dollar tree)
- fall flowers
- a needle
it’s so simple! Just thread your string through a needle, and run your needle across the top of each leaf, and through the middle of each flower. I used a little dab of hot glue on the back to hold them in place on the string, and that was it!
This is my super secret trick for no damage garland hanging. I also use these to hang Christmas lights inside my windows. It works like a charm, it’s inexpensive, and best of all, there’s zero damage!
You can find them here on Amazon: Suction cups with hooks (affiliate link)
I love the beautiful POP of Autumn colors it adds to my mantel. I have several other places in my home that could use a garland or two. This list below has some really great ideas.
