Hi! My name is Kelli. Even though I have only been a craft blogger for a short while, I have been crafting for as long as I can remember! I spend as much of my free time as I can creating. I didn’t start out to be a crafter though. Originally I went to school to study Culinary Arts. I love to cook. I had a lot of fun learning about the culinary process. Food is an art form itself! When we started our family however it became quickly apparent that the food industry just wasn’t the most family friendly career. People love to eat out in the evening, on weekends and holidays and those are the times I wanted to be home with my family. I have been very fortunate to be able to stay at home with my kids and I love it. The crafting came into play a little more prominently during those first few years at home with my kids. In my spare time the creative process was a way to relax and unwind. My favorite hobby!
I’ve always wanted a big beautiful craft room, like you see in magazines, but it wasn’t something we had room for. Our new home was just the right size for Myself, my Husband and our three great kids, but a dedicated craft room just wasn’t in the cards. No problem though! After a little bit of outside the box (house) thinking, we converted the little garden shed in the back yard into my Craft Shack! It is such a fun, happy, personal space for me.
You can take the Craft Shack tour Here.
And see the update a year later Here.
I enjoyed documenting the remodel process so much that I decided it might be fun to continue the documentation, and put it on a blog. It started out personal, and small. But it became a special sort of therapy and has helped me to combat some of my extreme anxieties! The Craft Shack Chronicles were born and it’s been an amazing journey so far! I am learning more every day, meeting some amazing people, all while doing what I love to do!
I’m so excited to share all of my Craft Shack adventures with you!
