10 minute Easy ribbon garland
This week I received some really fun Happy Mail from Offray Ribbon! A fun box full of ribbon to play with. So many possibilities. I really love ribbon, and ribbon crafts. My favorite part about ribbon crafts is that there are a lot of really easy and really quick crafts you can do with ribbon. They come in so many different colors, and fun patterns that it makes for a great way to add personality to just about anything. With the 4th of July right around the corner I wanted a really quick, easy patriotic craft. I don’t have very many red, white, and blue decorations currently so this was the perfect addition to the growing collection. And seriously, it took less than 10 minutes! The best part is that you don’t even have to make it specific to this holiday. Any cute colors or patterns will work!

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own easy ribbon garland:
- Ribbon (Red and white striped and blue)
- String
- Hot glue
- Scissors
Step one:
Cut your ribbon into 4″ lengths. How many will depend on how long you want your garland to be. You can also make your ribbon lengths longer, or shorter depending on preference but for this particular garland I used 4 inches.
Step two:
Fold your ribbon piece in half and lightly crease the center. Unfold and place the string over the ribbon at the creased center mark. Add a line of hot glue, and fold the ribbon over the string, in half. Spread your ribbons out every 2-3 inches along the length of your string and repeat, alternating colors until you run out of ribbon, or string.
Step three:
Cut a V shape out of the bottom of each ribbon
That’s all it takes! Now you have a simple, but adorable ribbon pennant garland to hang anywhere! The possibilities are endless.
A wider ribbon with the same method will give you a totally different look, or you could do a thinner ribbon on a smaller scale for a miniature garland.
